The idea behind the logo that we designed for the project was to depict the "S", initial letter of 'Skouries", in a way that reflects the interconnection between the project and the local community, the facilities and the natural environment that hosts them. “Skouries” is one of the three projects of Eldorado Gold in Halkidiki, Greece. Beneath the surface lies one of the most significant and internationally rich deposits of copper and gold. Their compositions echo voices from the Balkans and the Mediterranean. Traditional Greek music, balkan ornaments, polyphonies, swing feel, gypsy wandering, rock bluntness, all meet in Babo Koro's colourful mosaic. We were asked to design a new logo for the band. Our concept was inspired by the band's name, "Babo", which means the village's oldest woman. We aimed to mix modern and traditional in a eye-captivating composition to reflect Babo Koro’s vivid spirit and music. Embargo inaugurates Thanos Mikroutsikos' collaboration with the poet Alkis Alkaios, with whom he collaborated for five years on the selection of songs, choosing more than 40 poems set to music. In 2020 we were assigned by Mikroutsikos’ family to create a new cover for the re-release of the iconic Embargo. We aimed to keep the motion from the first vinyl artwork through a new artistic approach.
