EMBARGO was released in 1982 and is considered a landmark album in the great and timeless career of Thanos Mikroutsikos. Embargo inaugurates Thanos Mikroutsikos’ collaboration with the poet Alkis Alkaios, with whom he collaborated for five years on the selection of songs, choosing more than 40 poems set to music.

In 2020 we were assigned by Mikroutsikos’ family to create a new cover for the re-release of the iconic Embargo. We aimed to keep the motion from the first vinyl artwork through a new artistic approach. The result is an oil painting, where the motion of human figures is depicted in expressionist style.
