We were asked to design the Vinyl & CD artwork for the band’s album “Love is just a razor in my eye” where we had to fit a shoe, a razor and blood traces. Drawing inspiration from the band’s name, we created a painting that refers to the spring season. We used a more subversive and artistic idea that the band upholded from the very first moment. The concept is developed so that only 289 “hand made” vinyl covers of 31 Χ 80 cm are available to the interested parties. Each cover is part of a complete artwork and composes a large artistic puzzle of a total dimension of 527 Χ 510 cm. We assigned the visual artist Natasa Militsopoulou to create design proposals of square composition that will decorate the cover of the album. Then the project selected for implementation divided into 289 equal parts so that each cover is only one part of the work, which as a whole composes a large artistic puzzle with a total dimension of 527 Χ 510 cm. Each cover is covered with black cardboard in a gelatine case so that the cover artwork remains uknown, including the luck factor in its distribution.As far as it concerns the video, we created a lyric video which was the exact illustration of the song’s lyrics. As for the composition of the images, we created sketches, which we then digitized. Our friend and collaborator Giannis Margetousakis did the photoshooting. With his help we put emphasis on the photography, which was in a nostalgic way, supporting the whole concept of the album.
